Saturday, The day the waving stopped

Having convinced Liz of the benefits of being in one place for 2 nights, we booked the Quest near the airport in Ascot. It helped that they had a washing machine and dryer in their apartment offering.

Bit of a dawdle day, 730 departure, sit down brunch, scenic route, power nap, 20 minutes lost in roadworks, a noticeable increase in traffic and an unnecessary detour for fuel all lumped in together saw us decline the opportunity to see the Pinnacles and still struggle to make a pub dinner in Ascot

Saw this fella yesterday and he was stretching as we stopped to do the same today. He flew out of Sydney, picked up a 500cc hired Harley (since he was on P plates) and took off to see the eclipse. Carrying most things in the backpack he was bush camping along the way, having a real adventure. He only made the eclipse by minutes after needing the key fob codes after a battery issue.
