202 On Tour

Up early (6) and still managed to run 20 minutes late to Liz’s Uncle and families house in Nth Adelaide.

After a good, but timed, catchup we headed out North onto South Road😀

50 km out of Adelaide we had the excitement of the day. Old mate with a trailer carrying 4 empty plastic blue 44 gallon barrels passes us on the Freeway.

The lid comes off one of the barrels and gets run over by a car in the right lane.

Old mate with the trailer goes left, but before he can get stopped a barrel 🥺 exits the trailer, right into the path of the Prime mover in the rhs lane about 1 second in front of us. Prime mover glances said bin off rhs of bullbar and i hear Lizzie swearing over the intercom as I gently rolled out of the 80 kmh cruising speed.

Port Wakefield saw lunch and fuel, a quick stop for the Lochiel Monster

And a diversion into Redhill before paying respects for Davo and taking on Horrocks Pass

Into Quorn, and a series of unfortunate events. Lady thought I meant dinner booking when i was asking about accommodation booking and reported no such booking existed.

We finally twigged the problem, solving the fear of telling Lizzie she would be setting up the tent in the pubs backyard..

Then I asked about the silo light show times, to which the lady pointed to the noticeboard…

While missing the main show, by an hour and a qtr we spent having dinner and waiting for 745pm, we did get some photos if the 2022 kinder kids contributions ti the aftershow🤣
