Bolt had backed out of the front ball type coupling. Happened right before Fruit Bat Falls turnoff. Awesome place to get covered in dust with all the activity. Spot the problem…

At least we had all the bits. One bloke was asking if anyone had seen his caravan door!🙅 20 kays back was the answer we heard. In the direction we were going

While we were mobile, having addressed the ball clamp, we has made some compromises on the front cross member, 45 mm of compromise to be precise.

This is enormous in sidecar terms and the bike wasn’t in its sweet spot, to say the very least.

Dropped it at one of the mechanics in town, hoping they might get to it while we sailed to Thursday Island on the ferry tomorrow, Friday.

Saw the 3 fellas on Royal Enfield Himalayans. They were beat – the good road after the ferry was closed and there was 20?kms of oretty ordinary sand to contend with. At least the sidecar makes sand tolerable.
