Nullarbor RH to Kimba via Ceduna, Poochera, Organ Pipes in Gawler Ranges National Park & Minnipa
Turns out you can make a 600 km day into a 700 km day with a little on the go planning!
Up early for the fabled Nullarbor sunrise, only to be foiled by some fogπ«

Ceduna came and went before 12 noon, and given we were in Poochera by 1.45pm the opportunity to check out Organ Pipes in the Gawler Ranges National Park was too good to miss.
Plan was 1 hr in , 1/2 hr to look around and then take the 100 km dirt straight to Kimba

But it was more like an hour and a half in, given the road conditions (totally worth it btw,), and then the kangas came out to play on the way out of Orhan Pipes. Hundreds of them. And goats, enough they are culling them in September. Add a couple of emu’s, and an echidna (a quick echidna π)

And that was before we got on the (shortcutππ) road out. Signposted 60 kmh, but that was optimistic based on road conditions alone, before adding in the kanga population.
So, we took the 39 kms dirt back to Minnipa, took in these gardens

And then rejoined the highway for a 630 pm or so arrival in Kimba.
At least they light up their Silo Art at night ππ

The Deep fried Icecream at the pub was delicious
