Bunbury to Wave Rock/Hyden via Wellington Dam, Collie, Williams, Narrogin and Kulin.
Woke up early and got a walk to the lookout before sunrise!

Found a popular but out of the way French cafe for breakfast on the way back to the motel.

Then some murals and a quick shop before hitting the road to “The biggest Dam mural in the world” at Wellington Dam.

Into Collie for a grid search of their 40 or so murals.

Lunch at the Williams Woolshed was well worthwhile😁
My run of being breath tested when in WA on extended trips continues. I am 3 from 3 for trips over 3 days in the State. Much mirth on my shortcut through Narrogin finding me at a pop up RBT setup.
While on the last leg to Wave Rock we had an event requiring medical intervention🙁. We had a bag of peanuts that refused to tear open, so Alison took to it with her travel knife (whose only other use on this trip has been to spread butter and vegemite 😁).
I could tell things weren’t going well when I heard “Oh fuck!” at the same time as the knife being thrown down, and her deft knife hand clutching at her injured extremity.
After a minute confirming that she wasn’t going to bleed out i offered my medical kit (aka bandaid).
In asking whether she had faced the knife away from herself the quote from Mum was “No, I poked the knife through and stabbed myself, and I’m old enough to know better!”
